The 2012 harvest highlighted great positive notes for the Merlot vine and Pomerol, which is its absolute interpreter, enjoyed great evaluations. Very thin wine with hints of blackberry, wet earth, stone and berries. In body it shows very fine tannins and an extreme length in the mouth. The Merlot harvest on 23 September made this wine really amazing. Wine destined to age at least 25 years.

Chateau Lafleur 2014
RM 4,500
TASTING NOTES:
The 2014 Lafleur has a more tertiary bouquet, though fresh and well-defined, exhibiting some classy Cabernet Franc. This gains depth in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, structured and a little more austere. Yet there is focus here. It’s subtle and nuanced on the finish, with black pepper and sage lingering in the mouth. Lots of personality and class. Tasted blind at the Southwold 10-Year-On tasting.
Anticipated maturity: 2024-2042
