Christian Moueix began producing Dominus in 1983 from the historic Napanook Vineyard in Yountville. The 134-acre estate has 102 planted acres and is dry-farmed, with gravelly clay-loam soils at the Mayacamas foothills.
Vintage & producer notes
A dry early winter was followed by substantial February rain and continued spring rainfall. Temperatures exceeded historical averages, with brief June and July heat spikes but none during August or September.
