Tasting Notes:
Château Trotanoy has been a part of négociant JP Moueix since 1953, alongside Pétrus. Château Trotanoy is a Bordeaux wine estate in the Pomerol appellation, regarded as one of the great wines of the right bank. The Merlot-dominant wine is known for its decadent, rich style, and its prices are among the highest in Bordeaux.
- Colour: Deep purple
- Nose: Super nose of dried blueberry, black plum, walnut, myrrh and sandalwood. Lavender, violet, and chocolate.
- Palate: Ripe with wood now, but fresh. It’s full-bodied with firm, ultra fine tannins. Lots of dark spice is interlaced with the ripe fruit, giving this complex, perfumed character.
- Finish: Muscular, long and seamless with incredible depth and concentration. Reminds me of the great 2009, but this is better with more structure.
