Founded in 1725, Château Gruaud Larose is a Saint-Julien estate classified Second Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. Its 82 hectares of vines stand on deep Garonne gravel soils.
Vintage & producer notes
A warm, dry July advanced ripening, followed by a cooler, wetter August and intermittent September rain. Healthy fruit remained in excellent condition, allowing harvest at full maturity.

Vinification
Manual harvest with vineyard and reception sorting. Fermentation in 50% wooden and 50% temperature-controlled cement vats at 24–29°C; maceration lasted 20–30 days, followed by co-inoculated malolactic
Maturation
Aged 18–24 months in fine-grained French oak barrels, 80% new and the remainder one to two years old.
