    Tasting Notes:

Chateau La Grave is best served at 15.5 degrees Celsius, 60 degrees Fahrenheit. The cool, almost cellar temperature gives the wine more freshness and lift. Chateau La Grave is best served with all types of classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised and grilled dishes.

    • Colour: Red, elegantly made.
    • Nose: Very classic merlot complexity on the nose and a good fruity palate, nice nose of ref and fresh fruits.
    • Palate: Light bodied with predominant acidity, tannins were barely perceptible, long and represented a classic Pomerol.

    Description

    Chateau La Grave 2007

Chateau La Grave 2007, To the north-west of the Pomerol plateau bordering Lalande de Pomerol, lies Château La Grave à Pomerol, owned by Christian Moueix, the son of Jean-Pierre Moues, in June 1971. Here a sandy, gravel soil makes for accessible wines which tend towards elegance and finesse rather the power. The vineyard, beautifully exposed, is on a fine plateau which catches any sunlight available. This estate used to be called La Grave Trigant de Boisset, but was changed by Christan Moueix in 1986. Jean-Pierre Moueix, owns Château Pétrus, Château Trotanoy and Château Magdelaine .

With the 2007 Chateau La Grave, comes a personal present meant for a person who is very special to you.

We deliver the 2007 Chateau La Grave with the following guaranties and wine documents.

    • The wine is in excellent conditions and has to be drank and savored.
    • We guarantee the authenticity of the wine and its professional storage.
    • It is a high-quality, dry, long aging and, most of all, it is a renowned red wine.
    • You receive the authenticity guarantee and the wine portrait as a certificate.
    • In addition to that: our own advice regarding storage, plus a recommendation on how to savor and open the wine.

In 1971, Chateau La Grave a Pomerol was purchased by Christian Moueix. The vineyard is located on the western slope of the plateau of Pomerol. However, while that purchase marks the start of the modern era for Chateau La Grave a Pomerol, that is not where its history lies. For much of its life, the name of the estate varied from La Grave to La Grave a Pomerol and even La Grave Trigant de Boisset.

At this point, the inspiration for what we now know of as the first part of the estate’s name came from the gravel terroir in its vineyards. The second part of the estates name came from the Trigant de Boisse family who purchased the vineyard in the mid 1800’s.
