Fortunate Son THE DREAMER ( case of 6 ). The 2019 vintage was in every way a staggeringly great to me. I knew then, as I watched the vintage progress and when I finally and methodically picked the fruit block by block, passing through again and again to get just the perfect clusters, the fruit, those intense flavors, the richness were something incredible, even more so now, looking back, knowing now that the following year would bring so much carnage. How lucky I was, and I didn’t even know it.
Sourced from small, family vineyards, (in some cases for 3-4 generations) that are farmed with great care and attention. Made in very small amounts and combined from blocks of vineyards where they make a perfect combination of power, complexity and layers that give the wine incredible character and elegance.
Aged for 30-32 months in the finest French oak barrique. The stave wood is hand-selected for ultra-tight grain, then air dried for three years before being made into barrels.
